Submission Guidelines

We always welcome unique, well-crafted submissions, but as a small press publisher we can accept only a small proportion of the manuscripts we receive.

All submissions are assessed by an editor, and are accepted on the basis of merit and suitability. We don’t have the resources for major advertising and marketing campaigns, instead we aim to build a reputation for quality content and production values. Many new authors have wholly unrealistic expectations of their sales potential – if you’re looking to be a famous bestselling author you should probably look elsewhere. We think that our royalty rates are reasonable but please note we don’t pay advances.

We pay 40% royalties on e-books, and all books over 45,000 words in all genres are considered for print release in POD. Shorter works may be considered for inclusion in e-book and print anthologies.

We’re interested in edgy and imaginatively written fiction in (any combination of) the following genres:

  • contemporary fiction
  • paranormal and urban fantasy
  • LGBTQ
  • science fiction and fantasy
  • romance / erotic romance (of any heat level, ideally in combination with one or more of the above)

We’re less interested in:

  • general romance
  • historical romance
  • family sagas
  • coffee-table books
  • literary fiction
  • historical fiction
  • poetry
  • non-fiction
  • fan fiction

We only accept submissions by email. Please submit complete (and proof-read) manuscripts only.

We accept manuscripts in DOC, DOCX, ODT and RTF formats. Please include a brief introduction listing genre, word count and a short description of the book, as well as any pertinent information about the author, including both legal name and pen name and any writing credits. The query letter is your sales pitch and we use the information included in it from initial read through the potential acquisitions process and beyond.
